In a significant move towards revolutionising the Indian technology distribution industry, the top-10 technology distributors have come together to launch ‘The Technology Distribution Association of India’ (TDAI). In an exclusive interview with Channel Times, Byju Pillai, the spokesperson of TDAI and President & CEO of Inflow Technologies talks about TDAI blueprint and roadmap of the association.

CT: What triggered you to form distributors association at this junction. Please explain its need and objective?
Pillai: Distributors as a genre are a unique commodity and are in a position to see both sides of the coin. We thought it prudent to utilize this unique feature to band together to create a platform which could speak in one voice for the betterment of the entire industry. TDAI’s objectives are to build a transparent and organized distribution services sector in India and maintain a healthy channel from the manufacturer to the end user through best uniform practices. It will provide all industry stake holders a common ground for deliberating on regulatory issues that impact them, with a view to take those up with relevant authorities for resolution. TDAI will also facilitate interaction with various dealer associations on common issues faced by the distribution eco-system.
